Triple Decker Clock, Circa 1840, 10″ hand painted wood dial, 8-day, signed brass strap movement, Bristol, Connecticut 1844 – 1847, noted for wagon-spring movements & double steeple clocks, excellent original glass panels, case refinish lacks feet & part of top, very good working condition with normal wear. Height 33 1/2″.
Birge, Mallory & Co. Mahogany Triple Decker Mantle Clock. Original 10.5 in. painted wood dial with open moon cutout and sliding mirror back exposing the escapement; brass weight driven 8 day strap plate movement signed ÂB. M. & Co.Â, has an hour strike on a coiled gong, large iron side weights and a brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany case with overhanging cornice top, turned columns over serpentine corbels, original reverse painted door glass and tablet. In nice condition and original finish, door glass is repainted, tablet has some flaking to the paint, mirror replaced, dial has inpainting; has door key and pendulum. 35.5 in. high x 20.5 in. wide x 7 in. deep. Weight: 34.5 lbs.
