French movement, beveled glass sides and top all in good condition, on the porcelain face is Bigelow Kennard & Co. Boston, attractive carriage clock with decorated base and top, folding handle on the top of the piece, 5 1/4″ tall by 3 1/2″ wide by 3″ deep. Nice sounding chime to the works. No key with it. There is a faint age crack going from the 9 to the 3 across the face but its hard to see.

Bigelow & Kennard Mahogany Bracket Clock. 7 in. silvered dial is signed ÂBigelow, Kennard & Co. with applied gilt brass hour numbers, engraved gilt brass center, pierced brass filigree panel below with 2.5 in. sub dials for ÂSilent, Chime & St. Michael, Wittington, Westminster chimes. Quality brass 8 day triple chain fusee movement striking the indicated chime on a nest of 8 bells, rack of 8 coiled gongs and the hour on a cathedral gong. In a wonderful carved mahogany case with elegant filigree finial, domed top with filigree carved panels, turned corner columns, carved door with beveled glass and carved feet. Case has an excellent original finish, some minor carving losses on the finial and trim work, time mechanism is running and clean though the clock is not striking. 27 in. high x 18 in. wide x 13 in. deep.

In running condition, case is in good condition with no breaks, repairs or missing mounts.

Bigelow Kennard & Co. Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. 12″ silvered dial signed “Bigelow, Kennard & Co., Boston” with applied gilt brass hour numbers, sub seconds, pierced filigree hand, moon phase, pierced and engraved gilt brass filigree center and corner spandrels and has levers for “Silent-Strike” and “Strike on 4 gongs, strike on 8 gongs”. The brass 8 day weight driven movement is signed on the front plate “Bigelow Kennard & Co., Boston, USA” and on the rear plate “Made in England, 330” and “Patented March 6, 1902, No. 699303”; has a Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power and 9 silvered tubes with progressive quarter hour strike on 8 and hour strike on 1, long steel pendulum stick with brass covered bob and solid brass pulleys. In a mahogany case with architectural top having applied filigree, large turned and fluted columns and block-form base with filigree borders around inset panels; has beveled glass sides and lower door, brass plaque on the reverse of the lower door is inscribed “presented to Walter S. Glidden, by his friends and associates in business on the 25th anniversary of his connection with the firm of N.E. Hollis & Company, 1881-1906”. Case is in original finish, has some dings and chipping and some loss to the applied filigree; missing weights, missing lever pin for the gong selector, movement is dirty and needs cleaning. 100.5″ high x 27.5″ wide x 22.5″ deep.

19th century black slate case mantel clock for Bigelow Kennard & Co., Boston. Having a Porcelain dial with open escapement, enameled with Roman numerals. Fit with French 8-Day hour and 1/2 hour strike movement by Samuel Marti et Cie, marked “Medaille de Bronze”. Case measures approx. 11-1/2″H x 18-3/4″W x 7-1/2″D. Inlaid Mahogany Chime Clock: marked Bigelow Kennard & Co. Boston on the 5″ silver ring dial. The movement is marked W&H over son. There are 4 heavy coiled springs for the chime mechanism. The case has simple satin wood inlay, open work sides and back, brass feet and finials with a metal eagle on its top.
(The time and striek keys are very hard to wind, but it does run. There are several separations in the wood. The dials center is textured, but plain. The cloth lining on the back dorr has a hole in it.)
