Biedermeier Style One Weight Regulator: mahogany with satin inlay case. Time only movement with 7″ milk glass dial. Wording on the dial is “Wist Janos Luna Foldvaion”.

Serpentine Biedermeier 2 Weight Vienna Regulator, c.1855. Has a 7 in. inset porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals and fancy pierced black hands, brass piecrust bezel; brass 8 day weight driven movement has an half hour strike on a coiled gong, long wood pendulum stick and brass covered bob, brass 4 spoke pulleys and brass covered weights. In an unusual rosewood serpentine Biedermeier style case with broken pediment crest having a turned finial, half columns on the door and carved lower bracket; enhanced original finish is in good general condition, dial has a few minor hairlines, glasses are replaced. Wax seal stamps on the back of the case, one reads ÂHerbert Bednarik Collection, Wien and the other is a coat of arms. 44 in. high x 12 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep.

Biedermeier Style 1 Weight Vienna Regulator: time only with 7 1/2″ unmarked dial. The movement is not signed. The case is mahogany with satin wood inlay. Possibly made by Dachluhr.

(There is some veneer missing on the lower left side. The glass all looks to be not original. The dial has a worn appearance, veneer chipped at top corners of case. Clock runs sporadically.)

Regulators, which were predominately produced in Vienna and were also called Dachluhren due to their gable-like top piece, are still popular today. Clocks of this kind were fitted with weight driven movement (as is offered specimen) and all reached a high precision. They were made from the early 19th century until the 20th century. The simple design of the case, the visible brass weights and the large pendulum bob are characteristic features ofDachluhren.
Condition:
The wall clock is in a good condition. The veneer bears tension cracks, blemishes and scratches. The interior of the case has been revised. The dial shows small chip sin the areas of the winding holes. The clockwork is only attached loosely. The timepiece was not tested on functionality; no guarantee on long term precision and regularity. The dimensions measure 94 x 18.4 x 14.2 cm.

Biedermeier 1 Weight Vienna Regulator. 7 in. porcelain dial signed ÂElsner & Petrovits, in Wien with black Roman hour numerals, good blued hands and gilt brass bezel; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, brass 4 spoke pulley, brass covered weight, ebonized wood pendulum stick and a brass covered weight. Mahogany wall regulator case has ebonized & filigree pierced carved crest with maple inlaid edges in beautiful condition and original finish; dial has light chipping around the winding hole. 38 in. high x 11 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

In a mahogany case with satinwood inlaid borders, glasses on the front door and sides; original finish. Case has minor chips & dings, dial has some inpainting and a small hairline at 12 oÂclock. 37.5 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
