Regulators, which were predominately produced in Vienna and were also called Dachluhren due to their gable-like top piece, are still popular today. Clocks of this kind were fitted with weight driven movement (as is offered specimen) and all reached a high precision. They were made from the early 19th century until the 20th century. The simple design of the case, the visible brass weights and the large pendulum bob are characteristic features ofDachluhren.
Condition:
The wall clock is in a good condition. The veneer bears tension cracks, blemishes and scratches. The interior of the case has been revised. The dial shows small chip sin the areas of the winding holes. The clockwork is only attached loosely. The timepiece was not tested on functionality; no guarantee on long term precision and regularity. The dimensions measure 94 x 18.4 x 14.2 cm.
