Baird Clock & Eagle Braids Advertising Clock. Paper dial has an 11 in. chapter ring, black Roman hour numerals, black spade hands, brass bezel and signed Seth Thomas movement; brass time only spring driven movement, signed “Made by Seth Thomas Clock Co. for Edw. P. Baird, New York & Montreal”, has steel pendulum rod and brass covered bob, original paper label inside case. Black painted case has an unusual form with round top and long throat, silver raised lettering around the dial reads Clock & Eagle Braids  Herald & Eagle Buttons, the throat door has a raised eagle with arrows and olive branch, figural herald on either side and banner below reads Registered Trade Marks. Very good condition, c. 1895. 35 in. high x 18.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
