A 19th century Austrian Portico clock with double Jacquemart animation. 30-hour three train time and strike movement with quarter hour striking on two bells, engraved Gilded Brass dial with porcelain center and Arabic numerals, engine turned door with convex glass. Portico case with applied gesso decoration features a molded cornice over four fluted columns on a molded base with flattened bun feet. Old Gilded finish with wear and painted touch-ups, replaced back cover and bell nut, running when cataloged. 17 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200

Silvered brass case with cast detail on an Ebonized wooden base with glass dome. Wear to the Silvered case and dial, flakes on bottom of dome, running when cataloged. 16 1/4" high overall. A 19th century Austrian portico clock with a cabinet base set with a cylinder music box, two gilded wood upright supports faced with thin carved alabaster decoration, ornate sunburst openwork pendulum, the black cabinet holds the circular clock case housing an unmarked brass plate 30-hour time and strike movement with enamel dial, a gallery above the clock face is adorned with various decorative elements behind glass. Measures 26 x 14.25 x 5.5 inches. Pull cords activate the clock chime and the music box in the base.

Condition

A number of scattered small breaks and loosened pieces overall, some repaint and replacements, minor roughness at the top left edge of clock door glass, minor scratches on the enamel dial and minor roughness near winding holes. We cannot guarantee the running condition of timepieces post sale following movement and shipping.
