A turn of the century Emilian Wehrle 5 Horn Trumpeter Black Forest wall clock. Brass 30-hour three train movement with arched Brass plates features a carved wooden dial with Oak leaves at the center and porcelain hour markers with Roman numerals, announces the hour with a melody played on five horns, counts the hour on a coiled gong, carved Oakleaf pendulum bob. Carved Walnut case with a pediment top features a carved Stag's head with an Oakleaf crest, surmounting hanging game and long rifles flanking a door which opens to reveal a German horn player automaton, with a scrolled lattice fence and lower Oakleaf skirt with dog's head and scrolled pack panel. Partial paper label on bellows. Old dark finish with some wear, repair to rabbit's ear, repair to 12:00 marker, movement restored and running when cataloged, strike/horns need adjustment. 44" high plus weight drop. ESTIMATE $4,000-6,000

German Black Walnut Trumpeter Cuckoo Clock. Parcel ebonized and apllied leaf carved decoration, painted in trumpeter figure appears from a door above the dial; the movement with two small bellows; with two '1500 gr' pine cone weights and round carved wood pendulum. It is further decorated with foliage and pomegranate fruit carved decorations. This black forest carving wood clock has white porcelain with black roman numerals, and includes the pendulum. With hinged aperture on the back.
