Signed Aaron Willard Jr. Lyre Banjo Clock. Original 7 in. painted iron dial signed ÂAaron Willard Jr., Boston and numbered ÂNo. 648Â, has black Roman hour numerals and good pierced hands; quality brass weight driven movement with half hour rack & snail strike on a bell at the top of the movement, has a long steel pendulum rod hanging from a t-bridge suspension with brass covered bob and 2 lead weights with brass pulleys. In a beautiful carved mahogany lyre shaped case with gilt turned wood finial, hinged brass door bezel, pierced filigree carved frame work in the throat with original reverse painted throat glass, lower door with mirrored tablet and fluted carved lower bracket with a teardrop acorn finial. Case has an enhanced original finish, some paint flaking and inpainting on the tablet, original mirror, some gold flaking to the finial, in beautiful condition. 40 in. high x 12 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

After Aaron Willard Massachusetts Shelf Clock. 7 in. dia. inverted lyre shape dial signed ÂAaron Willard, Boston has black Roman hour numerals and gilt filigree highlights; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement with anchor escapement, fancy turned posts, brass pulley, horseshoe shaped lead weight and steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob. In a beautiful inlaid mahogany Massachusetts style case with inlays on the corners of the bonnet top having a pierced carved crest, tall inlaid pediment and brass finials; the body has a mahogany burl center panel with quarter fan corner inlays and stands on fancy carved feet. In beautiful condition and original finish, has minor repairs to the crest piece; circa 2nd half 20th century. 44.5 in. high x 14 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep. Weight: 25.75 lbs.

Aaron Willard Massachusetts Shelf Clock (Replica). 7 in. painted brass concave dish dial with black Roman hour numerals and black hands; brass double spring driven time only movement with pyramidal plates, deadbeat escapement with solid brass escape wheel, movement numbered Â1253Â, unsigned, mounted on an iron bracket, has a brass covered pendulum bob with an oak stick. In a mahogany Massachusetts shelf clock style case with carved crest having a turned center finial and reverse painted door glass signed ÂAaron Willard, BostonÂ; lower door has an inset panel and stands on turned feet. Case has a repair to the crest, missing paper label inside the reverse of the lower door panel. 36 in. high x 13 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
