Attr. Phalibois Animated 3 Bird Automaton Clock. Wood, plaster & paper mache automaton with 3 animated birds including an original humming bird swinging back and forth in the branches, one flapping its wings at the top and one at the base of the tree drinking from flowing water which is represented by a spinning spiral glass rod; has a brass spring driven movement contained in the base with original wooden gears timing the animation, separate brass spring driven 2 tune cylinder music box is also contained in the base. The timepiece on the left-hand side has a 3.25″ porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, blued open moon hands and beaded gilt brass bezel; French round brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Japy Freres” has a half hour strike on a bell. Completely restored with replaced flowers, upper and lower birds; everything is in good running and physical condition, has pendulum and both winding keys. 22″ high x 20.5″ wide x 11″ deep. Weight: 13.5 lbs.

Brass Animated Bird Box w/ Alarm Clock. Brass case with elegant decoration on the top and side panels, oval hinged lid on the top lifts up and exposes the small animated feathered bird which flaps its wings and swivels back and forth while whistling a tune. In good condition, has a nice gilt finish with no damage or losses, bird has nice brisk movement and good strong sound. The top of the case has 2 posts raising up an oval timepiece w/ alarm & 2 in. x 1.75 in. dial; has a lever in the side connecting to the bird mechanism below through one of the side posts and switched the bird ÂonÂ acting as a pleasant alarm. In good condition and all individual mechanisms are running, the alarm is not properly connected to the on/off lever. 6.5 in. high.

In good condition and mechanism is running, one bird flaps its wings, on jumps from branch to branch and the third drinks from the running water, has 2 bellows and whistles and a separate music box mechanism in the base. To the left side is a 3 in. porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, black open moon hands and a gilt brass beaded bezel; typical French, round brass 8 day movement signed Japy Freres, has an half hour strike on a silvered bell. Animated Figural Tightrope Walker Automaton Clock. Exceptional pure white polished onxy case has serpentine carved support arms on the base with bronze mounted trim and feet, a cylindrical top containing the timepiece; centered between the side arms is a figure of a tightrope acrobat and a tree, the animated figure moves his legs and head independently, moves arms simultaneously and jumps up and down on the rope. Individual spring driven animated mechanism is contained in the ebonized wood base with a separate 2 tune cylindrical music box. Clock has a 4″ porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and gilt brass beaded bezel; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement is signed “Japy Freres” and has a half hour strike on a bell. Everything is in excellent and working condition, no repairs to the onyx, figure retains the original clothing; original tune label under the base, no dome, has pendulum and 2 keys. 18″ high x 17″ wide x 8.25″ deep.
