Ashby Woodworks Grandfather Clock, original finish cherry case having wooden finials and scroll top, 30-hour woodworks movement with bell strike, unsigned, original wood painted dial and steel hands, original pendulum and wood stick, door frame and scrolls with repairs, original strike side tin can weight, time side is incorrect and not heavy enough to run the clock for more than 5 minutes, strike working, in the design of clocks made in and around Ashby, Massachusetts in the 1st quarter of the 19th century, 87 in. high x 18 in. wide x 9 in. deep.

An early 19th century Scottish Grandfather clock. 30 hr weight driven time and strike movement by “John Hay, Leith” with original painted dial with date aperture and floral detail. Oak and Mahogany case with broken arch hood and shaped upper door flanked by turned columns, shaped waist door, above a simple paneled base with bracket feet. In running order. Case refinished with minor wear, minor repair. 86 1/2″ high overall.

B Booth, Manchester" having an upper moon phase aperture. Older refinishing with wear and some older restoration, some flaking on dial, running when cataloged. 88" high overall. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
