DESCRIPTION: An antique french carriage clock designed with an external gilt bronze case, with four corner pillars and exterior glass sides. The back is designed with a hinged glass door and with a handle built into the top to assist in carrying. The interior is crafted with ornate pierced bronze open work embellishments, and an enamel dial in white porcelain with ornate plain black Arabic numerals. (Ref. C1)

DESCRIPTION: An antique French gilt bronze garniture clock set in the style of Louis XV, features a mantel clock with blue Roman Numeral markers. The clock is accompanied by a pair of gilt bronze eight light candelabra with scroll arm candle holders and center instrument decorations. Features a pendulum movement, stamped: "Popon, A Paris" The clock case with floral ornate detailing and with several arts theme motif, depicting three cherub figures, one of each representing a different art field. One cherub holds a brush and an art palette representing the art of painting, a second cherub holds a chisel and bust, representing sculpture, and third cherub is holding a violin representing music.

DESCRIPTION: A large AD Mougin antique french mantle clock designed with a bronze case with ornate decorative motifs depicting stylized foliage, floral and scroll motifs. The dial in white enamel porcelain with black Arabic numerals. Marked on the interior with hallmark stamp that reads "AD Mougin Deux MÃ©dailles". A D Mougin was a well-known French clock maker working in the mid to late nineteenth century. He is known to have made clocks in the French clock making region of Montbeliard (which is close to the Swiss border) and is also listed as having premises on the Rue de Turenne in Paris. He won two gold medals at exhibitions for his clocks and used these as the basis for his trademark which contains the "Deux Medailles". (Ref. C6).

French Gilt Bronze Carriage Clock. Fancy gilt brass case has figural putti on the corners with floral strands of garland stretched between them, domical top with beveled glass exposing the escapement and hinged handle, has beveled glasses on 4 sides with flowing filigree on the corners and base. Porcelain dial has a 2 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and pierced trefoil hands; brass spring driven movement has platform lever escapement and half hour strike on a steel bell. Clock is in good overall condition, clock strikes, balance wheel does not swing. 7.5 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

DESCRIPTION: A Theodore B. Starr antique carriage clock designed with an external gilt brass & glass case. The back is designed with a hinged glass door, and includes a handle built into the top. The frontal piece is designed with a white enamel porcelain, with ornate brass open work floral motif decorations, and plain black Arabic numerals. Marked with marker signature hallmark "Theodore B. Starr" on the frontal side, and with engraved mark on verso that reads "Made In Paris". Includes the two-ends key. Numbered E4497L. (Ref. C2).
