Description: Antique Dutch Stohl Hanging Calendar Wall Clock: With a painted metal dial, heavy brass hands, decorative metal top and side frames, encased brass movement & top bell. Mounted on a wood base. There are informational papers with the clock, plus parts and chains. Crown wheel escapement. Has not been tested. (There is no weight with the clock; no pendulum; escapement/verge is in parts in a box included in the lot; some of the case panels have been replaced.) Sells as is, where is. 17″ Tall

Dutch Hood Domestic Hanging Clock: With bell strike movement and alarm anchor escapement and a painted steel dial. In an oak or ash case with chain pull which sets the alarm. The small window has brass décor over it with an eagle on top along with owls, the sun and a flaming urn.

Not tested.

These clocks are sometimes referred to as Dutch Hoods. They were also made in surrounding countries and can date anywhere up to the 1870’s.

Oak Wall Hanging Dutch Hood Clock w/ Alarm. 10 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers outside, repousse brass bezel & corner spandrels, hand painted arched top with scenic lake view, pierced brass hands and brass alarm indicator disc. Brass weight driven movement with recoil escapement, fancy turned posts, half hour strike with steel bell at the top of the movement, separate bell above for alarm strike and brass covered weight. In good running condition. In an oak case with arched bonnet top, carved Chronos w/ globe center finial and winged angel side finials, the lower section with pierced carved corbeled supports and backboard panel with oval cutout with brass urn overlay exposing the pendulum bob swinging behind the wood backboard. Cleaned and enhanced finish, figures are replaced. 58 in. high x 14 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
