Black Forest Carved Hunting Theme Mantle Clock. Black forest carved case has an arched form resembling the ground in the forest with hunting dogs, rabbits burrowed in their den, a figure of a man with a rifle and his dog at the top. 3 in. wood dial with brass Roman hour numerals and brass spade hands, carved bugle shaped bezel; round French brass spring 8 day movement signed “Japy Freres” has an half hour strike on a coiled gong and is in running condition. The case has an old enhanced finish, has wormholes in the wood and a repair to the hunter’s rifle. 16.25 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

Carved walnut standing figure of a woman depicting “Industry”, she wears a long robe and a crown and has industrial instruments beside her including an anvil seated on a stump, hammer, gear, rulers & other measuring devices on a large scroll carved filigree base. 4 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers outside, fancy gilt pierced hands, gilt bezel with beveled door glass; round brass 8 day spring driven movement has an half hour strike on a steel bell. In excellent condition and original finish. 32 in. high x 24 in. wide x 7 in. deep.

Black forest case is carved with a game bird at the top and a game bird to the right, a fox has a snarling look on his face looking up at the birds and his body wrapped around the left side of the case, an allover filigree forest decoration in the carving; good original finish, one bird has a chip to its beak and a few other minor carving chips. 3 in. brass dial has relief decoration with porcelain hour insets with blue Roman numerals and gilt spade hands; French round brass spring driven movement has an hour count wheel strike on a bell, movement signed Japy Freres, not running. 16.5 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Large 10 in. porcelain dial marked Germany has black Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers outside, large fancy brass hands; square brass spring driven movement with petite sonnerie strike on 2 coiled gongs, Art Nuveau style brass pendulum bob with face in the center and movement is signed on the back with lion over U.M. mark for Uhrenfabrik Muhlheim, Muller & Co., numbered 157010. In a mahogany case with arched top, serpentine sides with glass inset panels, carved filigree on the apron, scrolled feet and fancy glass front door. In running condition, refinished case, dial has a few minor chips. 18.5 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
