Description

Ansonia Royal Bonn La Croix China Clock. Signed Royal Bonn, German porcelain case titled La Croix is decorated with various flowers and filigree. 4 in. porcelain inset dial has black hands, exposed Brocot escapement and fancy gilt brass bezel with door glass; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed Ansonia Clock Co., has half hour coiled gong strike. Missing rear door, has a minor 1″ hairline in the back near the opening, has pendulum. 12 in. high x 14 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep. Weight: 14.25 lbs.

A ROYAL BONN ‘LA CROIX’ CASE ANSONIA CLOCK

Description

China case design known as La Croix by Royal Bonn, set with an Ansonia Clock Co. movement having a double-sunk porcelain enamel dial with exposed escapement and hand painted Arabic numerals. The china case is signed on the reverse, the clock is signed on the movement and dial. Measures 11″ x 14″ x 5.5″, see condition report.

Condition

Good to very good with some issues noted: the beveled glass door is slightly sprung, the clock case is crazed and has minor flecks of paint loss on two feet, the back door is missing and there are two case cracks back side. Running condition is unknown.
