Galusha Octagon Drop Calendar Regulator. 12 in. painted metal dial, comprised of 3 discs, the front disc contains the chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer ring with 31 date calendar signed Âpatented by Galusha MaranvilleÂ has cutouts for the second disc containing the sequential days of the week with Sunday highlighted in red and a cutout at the top exposing the months; the red date indicator moves automatically while the clock is running and the rear dials are manually adjusted at each months end, dials have some typical wear from age. Has a brass 8 day movement with recoil escapement, hour strike on a coiled gong, brass covered pendulum bob, paper label on the back of the case reads ÂManufactured for N.C. Hyde & Co. by Gilbert Manufacturing CompanyÂ. In a rosewood case with octagonal top, brass door bezel and chamfered drop section having leaf carved corbels and reverse painted door glass; enhanced original finish. 24.5 in. high x 17 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

In a rosewood drop octagon wall hanging case in original finish with brass door bezel and original glass, lower reverse painted tablet with black background having minor flaking and gilt design, in good condition and original finish. Signed with original paper label on the back of the case for Atkins Clock Company, Bristol, Conn. 25 in. high x 17 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.

Not tested.

(There are chips on the dial and scrapes on the dial surround. The veneer on the lower door is worn.)

(Although the lower door reads “Calendar” this clock is not a calendar clock.)

S. Kamerer, Furtwangen Drop Octagon Regulator. 10 in. repainted metal dial has black hour numerals, pierced black hands with brass door bezel; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂS. Kamerer, FurtwangenÂ, has a recoil escapement and countweel hour drop hammer strike on a coiled gong at the top of the case. Case has an octagonal top with alternating brass and pewter inlaid pierced filigree and piecrust outer edge; short drop section has lower door glass exposing the brass pendulum and a curved front bottom. Refinished, case is missing filigree side decorations below the dial and missing a few inlays. 28 in. high x 16.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
