A very unusual version of the GPO, same solid mahogany case with dovetailed construction and stamped internal numbers on the base, same brass screw construction, etc. But this one with two painted metal dials with âcrown over ERâ mark and G.P.O. (British General Post Office) mark, these being super clean dials with crisp black Roman numerals, a fusee chain drive movement that can power both sets of hands on both dials. Measures 14 inches diameter and 8 inches deep.

This Viennese Empire Figure pendulum clock was made in the beginning of the 19th century and captivates through the fire gilded casing with a decorative figural addition in Roman- antique manner. The clock features glassed mechanical clockwork in a fire gilt casing. On its right, the clock has a figurine in the shape of a general, who raises his arm over the clock holding a staff. Below the clock, one can find a frieze with a scene of a battle field. The art work has four finely chiseled feet.
The pendulum clock is in a very good condition with traces of age and use. The clock comes with a key winding. The Empire clock measures 46 x 34 x 11 cm (height x width x depth). The clock worked during a short-time test; long term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. (sku)
