Ansonia “Niobe” oak weight driven wall clock has a relief cast bronze dial with fancy hour numbers and filigree center; quality, pierced brass 8-day weight driven movement No. 42 is signed “Ansonia Clock Co.” and has a half hour count wheel strike on a coiled gong, deadbeat escapement, brass chains, spiral turned brass covered weights, solid cast bronze relief figural putti and lion gilt pendulum bob with brass covered stick. In a refinished oak case with mounted satyr head on the double arched crest with turned finial, turned corner columns and fine brass mounts. Dimensions: 44 in. high x 17 in. wide x 8 in. deep. Weight: 35.20 lbs.

Ansonia Weight Driven Gothic Shelf Clock. 12 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, black painted hands; brass 8 day weight driven movement signed “Ansonia Clock Co., Ansonia, Conn., USA” has an hour strike on a coiled gong, large iron side weights and long pendulum rod with a brass covered bob. In a rosewood case with teardrop finials at the corners of the overhanging cornice top, arched front door with large reverse painted glass tablet. In good condition, case has an enhanced original finish, tablet is in very good condition with little flaking to the paint, dial has some minor inpainting, has an original large “Ansonia” paper label in the back off the case. 33 in. high x 17.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Ansonia Capital 8 Day Weight Driven Wall Clock, time only, 8″ paper dial and pendulum bob. The walnut case is refinished with original glass. Circa.1890’s.

(The movement bracket is bolted through the back of the case. The paper dial and finials have been replaced and there is a 1″ knick out of upper left edge of the door.)

In a carved mahogany case with floral rosette in the crest, applied side crests; old repainted dial, case with overcoated finish, missing bottom section over lower bracket, running. 68″ high x 28.5″ wide x 7.25″ deep.
