Good condition as shown, wear at the winding holes, hairlines. The running condition is unknown.
Ansonia Figural Mantle Clock  Newton. 5.5 in. sunken porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, gilt bezel, beveled door glass, fancy black hands and exposed Brocot escapement with steel pallets; dial signed with Ansonia trademark. Brass, 8 day, spring driven movement No. 6 ¼, signed  Ansonia Clock Co. New York, U.S.A.  strikes on a coiled gong and has brass pendulum bob. In a white metal case, figural top depicts a seated Isaac Newton holding a globe, next to a book stand with inkwell on top; long cast metal base with an ebony finish and figural mount on the front. Finish on the metal is worn in some spots. 15 in. high x 17.5 in. wide.

Seated figure of Newton beside a small bookstand looking at a globe in his lap; to the right is the clock tower with fancy relief design, urn finial, handles on the sides and having a worn finish, on a black enameled iron base. 4.5 in. inset porcelain dial with black Arabic hour numbers, scrolling pierced gilt hands and exposed Brocot escapement; 8 day brass movement with pendulum and half hour strike on a coiled gong. In good running condition. 15 in. high x 18.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.
