Condition:
The mantel clock is in good condition. Painting and gild dcor are slightly rubbed in places. The dial show fine hairlines cracks. During in house testing, the clock was fully functional; no guarantee on long term precision and regularity. The dimensions of the case are 30.5 x 20 x 11.5 cm.
Jacob Petit (1796-1868)
The porcelain manufactory of Jacob Petit was one of the most important and well-known manufacturers in the 19th century, becoming one of the major producers of Rococo style ware in the 1830s. Between 1830 and 1850, new manufacturing techniques were developed under Petit, he modernized production process, without sacrificing the craftsmanship. In 1834 he showed his skills at the exhibition in Paris, with varied new forms that revolutionized the manufacture of porcelain. His highly decorative porcelains, shaped in Louis XV style were very popular in England and France. (bde)
S. Marti Boulle Devotional Clock, Louis XIV Style: With an T&S brass movement marked S. Marti; a brass chapter ring dial with a dark felt clock face being held up by “Time”; the pendulum and the key. The dial has incised minutes around the outer edge of the Roman Numerals. The exterior of the case has silver and brass inlaid shell. The strike bell is in the case top.
(The clock is not running or striking at this time – both springs are tight.)
(The case is missing some of the silver and brass inlay. There has been some restoration done to the case. There are some finials and other parts missing. The age of the case is questionable.)

Louis XVI Style Lyre Clock, For Tiffany & Co.: The bell striking movement is marked “Made in France 4668”. The porcelain dial is marked “Tiffany & Co.” The 7 rod pendulum is connected to a ring of paste brilliants that is around the case and also to an inner pendulum in the back. The bronze and white marble case has floral garlands, ladies masks, bell flowers, acanthus leaves and fruit on it.
