A late 19th century Ansonia "Huntress" model swinging arm figural clock. 8-day time only movement with Arabic numerals and fancy filigree hands within a Nickeled sphere with Gilded mounts and incorporated compensating pendulum. "Huntress" figure with dark Brown patina and Ebonized turned wooded plinth. Minor surface wear, some wear and touch-ups to the figure, running when cataloged. 24 3/4" high overall. Ansonia Huntress Swinging Mystery Clock. Cast spelter figure of a huntress holding a string of game birds beside her right hip and a post in her left hand from which the pendulum swings on an “X” suspension; has a medium-light brown original finish and is in good condition with no dings, breaks or repairs, on a round black enamel iron plinth base. 21 1/4 in. gridiron pendulum has a 4 1/4 in. ball top and spherical bob, the dial has applied brass hour numbers with filigree pierced hands; brass 8-day spring driven movement signed “Ansonia Clock Co.” is contained behind the dial and powers the mystery swinging pendulum. Chips & paint loss to the spheres. Dimensions: 24 in. high. Weight: 9.75 lbs.
