Perpetual Calendar Terry’s Patent. 12 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals on the chapter ring with outer 31 date calendar ring, open aperture at 12 oÂclock exposes the 5 in. month disc behind the dial, blued open moon hands and gilt date indicator, dial signed TerryÂs Patent, Manufactured by the Ansonia Brass & Copper Co. Ansonia, Conn. Has a brass weight driven movement & countwheel strike mechanism with coiled gong, iron side weights and brass covered pendulum bob. In a large rosewood case with overhanging cornice top and teardrop finials on the front corners, the rounded door has an arched top with replaced glass over the dial and original lower tablet, reverse painted with birds at a fountain and gilt leaf borders on a black background. Original paper labels on the back of the case for Ansonia Brass & copper Co. and TerryÂs Patent Improved Calendar, refinished case, the tablet has some black inpainting and minor flaking. 33 in. high x 20 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
Ansonia Drop Extra Rosewood Calendar Clock. Large 12 in. original painted metal dial signed ÂTerryÂs Patent, Manufactured by the Ansonia Brass & Copper Co., Ansonia, Conn.Â, has black Roman hour numerals and 31 date calendar numbers outside, has an aperture cutout exposing the repainted 5.25 in. dial calendar disc with days of the month, brass sweep calendar hand and blued open moon hour and minute hands. Brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂAnsonia Clock Co., Ansonia, Conn. has a half hour strike on a coiled gong. In a rosewood ÂDrop Extra case with round door bezel, serpentine carved waist with turned finials and reverse painted black and gilt original tablet; case in good condition with a French polished finish, signed on a paper label ÂAnsonia Brass & Copper Co.Â. 26 in. high x 16 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep. Weight: 9.5 lbs.
