Ansonia Figural “Don Caesar” Mantle Clock. Standing spelter figure of Don Caesar drawing his sword; to the right is a spleter clock tower with relief design, hinged side handles and finial top. 4.5 in. inset porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, fancy gilt pierced hands and exposed Brocot escapement; 8 day, spring driven movement signed Ansonia Clock Co. with half hour strike on a coiled gong. Case and iron enamel base are refinished, hairlines in dial, 1 jeweled and 1 steel pallet in escapement, movement running and striking, replaced pendulum, right side handle repaired. 22″ high x 19″ wide x 9″ deep.
