A late 19th century Ansonia "Crystal Palace No.1 Extra" model mantel clock. 8-day time and strike movement and painted metal dial with Roman numerals and fancy cast Brass bezel with painted detail. Walnut framed case with central mirror flanked by patinated metal figures under a long glass dome. Some wear, replaced dome, running when cataloged. 19" high overall. ESTIMATE $600-800

(The base has been re-glued to the back board. The dial is stained and worn. The dome is new.)

Ansonia Crystal Palace No. 1 Extra Dome Clock: With an 8 day T&S movement; an unmarked paper dial; the hunter and fisher figures and the pendulum. The hunter statue has an orange coat and tan britches; the fisherman is all one color.
The clock is running and striking at this time.

Two Ansonia Crystal Palace No. 1 Extra clocks, including: 1) 8-day signed brass time and strike movement having recoil escapement, wooden base with enhanced finish and replaced mirror, gilding worn of figures with repainted highlights on figures and dial, replaced paper dial, original double barrel pendulum, dome is cracked, running. 19 in. high 14 in. wide by 7 in. deep. 2) 8 day signed brass time and strike movement having recoil escapement, wooden base with enhanced finish and replaced mirror, gilding worn of figures, tip of the rifle on one of the figures broken off, one rosette on the back board is missing, original paper dial darkened and stained, plaque attached reads: "The Old Gang, Nov. 26, ‘84," original double barrel pendulum, dome possible a replacement, running. 19 in. high x 14 in. wide x 7 in. deep.
