Ansonia Capital 8 Day Weight Driven Wall Clock, time only, 8″ paper dial and pendulum bob. The walnut case is refinished with original glass. Circa.1890’s.
(The movement bracket is bolted through the back of the case. The paper dial and finials have been replaced and there is a 1″ knick out of upper left edge of the door.)

Elmer O. Stennes 1 Only Oak Weight Driven Wall Clock. Original 7 in. painted metal dial signed “Elmer O. Stennes No. 1” & “M.C.I. Plymouth, 1972” (Massachusetts Correctional Institute), has black Roman hour numerals and brass open moon hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement signed “Elmer O. Stennes, Mass.” has a long steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob, brass lock-down hardware on the painted wood weight baffle, brass pulley and lead stamped No. “8” weight. In a beautiful oak case with overhanging cornice top, round glass over the dial, original reverse painted red, black and gold leaf throat glass and tablet glass exposing the pendulum bob; case is stamped “1 Only, M.C.I.P., 1972” (Massachusetts Correctional Institute in Prison). In excellent condition and original finish, movement is running. This clock was given by Elmer Stennes to his wife Phyllis Means Stennes as a one of a kind piece under the promise that she would never sell it; the clock was then sold to the consignor, the second owner, by Mrs. Stennes in an effort to help raise money to pay for the treatment of her gunshot wounds. 28 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Ansonia Weight Driven Gothic Shelf Clock. 12 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, black painted hands; brass 8 day weight driven movement signed ÂAnsonia Clock Co., Ansonia, Conn., USA has an hour strike on a coiled gong, large iron side weights and long pendulum rod with a brass covered bob. In a rosewood case with teardrop finials at the corners of the overhanging cornice top, arched front door with large reverse painted glass tablet. In good condition, case has an enhanced original finish, tablet is in very good condition with little flaking to the paint, dial has some minor inpainting, has an original large ÂAnsonia paper label in the back off the case. 33 in. high x 17.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
