American. 1890s. Mixed hardwoods. An unusual calendar clock made by The Ansonia Clock Company. Not found in any of their catalogues. Clock appears to be factory manufactured. It appears to have some form of commercial application- perhaps a hotel. Two back doors. Lower back door opens to reveal the calendar wheel. Upper back door opens to reveal the mechanism for the calendar reel. Ansonia Trademark in the centre of the dial. Dial marked, "Manufactured by the Ansonia Clock Company, New York, United States of America" lower edge. Original finish. Tablet appears to have been repainted. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. From the Skip Kerr Collection. 23.5"H X 17.25"W X 11"D.
