Good condition

This mantel clock and the two candlesticks – a three-piece ensemble – were created around 1880 in France. The body of the clock and the chandelier plinths made of marble show delicate engravings. The candlesticks and the top piece of the clock are made of brass. Each chandelier features five candle holders. All three elements are based on small brass feet.

All pieces are in very good condition showing slight signs of wear. The clock is fully functional, but long term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. The dimensions of the clock are 40 x 23 x 13 cm (H x W x D). The candlesticks measure 38 x 16 x 14 cm (H x W x D).

Ansonia Shelf Clock w/ Terry’s Patent Calendar. 6 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals on the chapter ring with 31 date calendar ring outside and separate month disc inside, original spade hands and red date indicator; has an 8 day brass spring driven movement, No. 6 1/2, with an hour strike on a coiled gong, brass covered pendulum bob. In a rosewood case, door has a round bezel around the dial over a square, reverse painted lower glass which reads ÂTerryÂs Patent Â Manufactured by the Ansonia Brass & Copper Co., Ansonia, Conn. USAÂ; also signed with a full paper label inside the back of the case. Has a light overcoated finish with 2 minor veneer flakes at the base.18.5 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
