France, an extremely large and colorful faience mantel clock, the case shape based on Louis XV clocks, on scroll feet with central, concave scallop shape at base, the case outlined with rococo style leaf and scroll forms, and the top with small, inverted scallop shell, all with very colorful enamel decoration either emphasizing the case shape, or specific art nouveau inspired floral and foliate motifs within the fields created by the shapes, gilt bezel with convex glass and arabic numeral white enamel dial with floral festoons and gilt hands, 8 day, two train pendule de Paris movement striking on a bell

French Faience Mantel Clock, Serpents, Windmill +: The bell strike movement is marked “France” and numbered 1598. The blue and white decorated case has shield-like shapes with 3 crescents in them. There are large flowers, some with an insect nearby, on the sides and back of the case. The front has church-like windows with Fleur de Lis and serpents. The lower part has a Dutch scene, including a windmill and sail boats.

The clock is running and striking at this time.

18 1/2″ Tall x 10 1/2″ Wide

There is no restoration nor does this clock need any. The large road map style crazing is natural for this type of ware.

Veuve Perrin French faience bracket clock, powered by a small French verge fusee watch movement with the back plate measuring about 34mm, bottom of bracket with repaired damage, dial with damage at 6 o'clock, runs a short time and stops, circa 1760-1770, mounted to a walnut plaque, clock and bracket each marked "V" for Veuve Perrin. Clock and bracket measure 14 in. high, overall size with mounting plaque is 26 in. high x 12 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

French Avalon Baby Faience Plate Clock: It has a set key wind an open escapement and a porcelain dial. The plate is molded with pink blossoms, green leaves and a bug. The clock is marked on the back, New Haven, and has an easel stand. (The clock is not running.)
