Stephen Rimbault, London, an 18th century turtle shell veneered musical clock, waisted case in the French style with gilt bronze rococo mounts. cast kidney shaped door with putto bearing an hour glass and scythe at bottom, and surmounted by a gilt putto with sword and balance, brass dial with mock pendulum, painted floral ornament surrounding a silvered, roman numeral chapter ring, with seated angel, female figure and tall ship below 6:00, and mask with laurel wreath above 12:00, 8 day two train fusee movement with verge escapement, blued steel hands, and separate, two tune musical movement, playing on 8 bells at the hour
