A mid 19th century American wooden works shelf clock. 8-day time and strike wooden works movement with a painted wooden dial. Mahogany case with a carved crest, single long door with a mirrored center panel and reverse painted lower tablet, flanked by full length turned columns on carved paw feet. A late 19th or early 20th century shelf clock with an arch topped case, possibly by Ansonia with a cast metal pendulum. The case with the old original alligatored finish.
