American Weight Driven Banjo Clock. 8 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and open moon hands; typical brass 8 day weight driven banjo clock movement with iron weight, steel pendulum rod and brass bob. Mahogany banjo case with turned teardrop finial, round door bezel with original glass, beveled throat and door frame with original reverse painted and gilt leaf glasses and scrolling wood side arms. Original finish, has repairs to the side arms, throat glass is cracked in the lower right corner and chip at the tip of the finial. 33 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Mahogany banjo style case has brass door bezel with convex glass, pierced brass side arms, reverse painted throat glass and scenic reverse painted lower tablet in very good condition with little paint loss and no inpainting, case is in original finish. Missing top pediment and finial. 29 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

A 19th century American Banjo clock by Sylvester W. Talbot, Dedham, Mass (signed "Made by S. W. Talbot, 1833" on weight cover). 8-day weight driven time only movement with a painted Iron dial and Roman numerals. Mahogany case with Gilded front, Gilded Brass Eagle finial over a molded Brass dial door, tapered throat panel with applied rope moldings and reverse painted glass flanked by shaped Brass side arms, lower door with a reverse painted glass marked "S. Willards Patent", by Spencer Nolen, Boston, Mass signed verso "S. Nolen, 1829". Refinished case with minor wear, repainted Gilding, replaced finial, running when cataloged. 34 1/4" high overall. In an inlaid mahogany case with gilt turned finial, brass door bezel around the dial, pierced brass side arms and reverse painted throat glass and tablet; case has a split in the back board which is loose, repair to bezel hinge, enhanced original finish, repainted original glasses. 33 in. high x 10 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.Weight: 16.75 lbs.

American Mahogany Banjo Clock. 7 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals and original blued hands; typical brass 8 day weight driven time only banjo clock movement has a lead weight, brass pulley and brass pendulum bob with steel rod. In a mahogany banjo style case with gilt brass eagle finial, door bezel and pierced side arms; original reverse painted throat glass has a tan background with gilt filigree over red and the original reverse painted lower door glass depicts ÂPerryÂs VictoryÂ. In good overall condition, original finish, dial has some inpainting, dial glass in replaced, case stamped with numbers Â916Â. 31.5 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
