A 1920's American Hall clock. Winterhalder & Hoffmeier 8-day weight driven three train movement with quarter hour striking in three tunes on nine tubular chimes, arched Brass dial with painted moon phases and engraved hemispheres, a Silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds, Chime/Silent, Westminster/Canterbury/Whittington dials, engraved filigreed spandrels and dial center, damascened plates. Mahogany case features an arched molded pediment above a shaped dial door with clear dial glass and beveled lower flanked by turned fluted quarter columns on a plinth base with short molded feet. Original dark finish with some wear, running when cataloged. 90 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
