Perring, Detroit Bank Corporation, 1952 – Director – 1979”. 8-day time only 11 jewel movement with platform escapement and enameled dial marked “Matthew Norman, London” serial #1754. Brass case with beveled glasses, dentil molded crown over four reeded column on a molded base. Some finish wear, running when cataloged. 6″ high overall.

Having a 2.5″ silvered dial with Roman chapter ring and moon hands, inscribed “MATTHEW NORMAN”, above three silvered subsidary dials for days of the week (in French), Arabic alarm, and days of the month, marked “SWISS MADE” beneath, the impressive four-pillar movement engraved “11 Eleven Jewels Unadjusted Swiss Made Movement Matthew Norman London 1783″, with lever platform escapement, striking on a coiled gong, in a lacquered case with projecting corners and ball finials framing bevelled circular roof glazing and push-repeat over fluted columns and inverted breakfront base on bun feet, 6.25”, (16cm) high excluding handle, in a card box with winder and retail booklets
