Russian 14 karat gold jeweled blue guilloche enameled clock egg held by the silver ruby eyed elephant, modeled after the Emperor's royal pet, mounted atop a lapis lazuli gold flecked base. Decorated with Russian Empire Double Eagle State Emblem and the Imperial Dynasty Dates 1613,1913 to body and ornate double eagle figural finial to top. Featuring a floral/leaved design amongst four reticulated gold swans along the base. Accented with red ruby cabochons and rose cut diamonds throughout. This rare egg opens to a fixed hand painted porcelain dial clock with original mechanism. Hallmarked to rim. Dimensions: 6-1/8" H x 2-1/2" Diameter. Total Weight: 471.89 grams.
