Aaron Willard Federal Painted and Stencil-decorated "Bride's" Shelf Clock, c. 1815, gilt-turned and stenciled finial plinth above the gilded rope-molded frames enclosing the reverse-painted tablet inscribed "Aaron Willard, Boston" within an oval cartouche on a stenciled ground with red and blue shield spandrels, roman numeral iron dish dial, lower section with gilded rope-molding frames enclosing the original reverse-painted tablet depicting a country scene above the stencil-decorated pillow molding and gilded ball front feet, eight-day timepiece with iron weight and 12-in. pendulum, ht. 33 1/2 in.
