An early 19th century Banjo clock with open top mounted alarm bell, likely by Aaron Willard Jr., Boston, Mass. 8-day Brass, weight driven time and alarm movement with original painted metal dial. Mahogany case with Gilded finish and pierced Brass arms, Brass upper door with original (cracked) reverse painted throat and lower door glasses. Old finish with wear, some loss to the gilding, cracks in both throat and lower glass with some exterior touchup at the edges, some older repair to movement, running momentarily when cataloged. 33″ overall.
