French Raingo Freres Dore Bronze Clock, Circa 1845, 4″ excellent flat white enamel dial, 8-day, circular brass spring driven silk thread suspension movement, signed Raingo Freres, period Rococo, heavy dore’ bronze with burnished accents attached to bracket base, a very high quality decorative clock, suitable for a formal room setting, excellent condition with normal wear. Height 15 3/4″, Width 7″, Depth 7″.

French Dore Metal Clock, Raingo Freres: the time and bell striking movement is signed and numbered 696. The fancy 3″ dial with enameled Roman numerals is also signed on an enamel band. The case has leaf and floral decoration.

A 19th Century antique French Empire dore bronze and marble mantel clock by Raingo Freres (Paris). Classic form body crafted from beautiful brown, green and gray marble stone, with ornate applied repousse flowers, wreaths, harps and laurel leaves, and an exquisitely detailed bronze plaque at bottom front, depicting tree trunks, a goat, and putti cherub musicians. Clock surmounted by a large mounted bronze eagle, with wings spread, and claws clutching a ribbon and wreath wrapped torch. Maker name in red script across upper quadrant of enameled clock face. Does not include key, or pendulum.

DESCRIPTION: 19th Century French Raingo Freres, Paris, gilt bronze mantel clock and garniture set, composed two figures in drapped robe supporting a sphere formed clock with Roman numeral dial and serpentine hands, topped by a mounted putti. Clock raised on an ornate scrolling acanthus leaf and floral wreath base, further decorated with two figural groups, supporting ten light candle holding bouquets. Movement stamped: "Raingo Freres, Paris"
