3 piece French set Signed Le Rolle Freres, Paris, circa 1860’s: One of the most fabulous French sets ever to be sold at our clock auctions.
This massive marble & bronze clock consists of four cherubs and one Pan celebrating the grape harvest, centered between two five arm candelabras with grapes and cherubs; one cherub with arms raised and the other cuddling a dove.
The mount and dial are both signed; the dial is 4 1/2″ diameter porcelain with blue numerals.
The condition is almost unbelievable. All original finish & patina with only a few minor nicks to the edge of the marble on the base.
The clock measures 25 1/2″ T x 28″ W x 13″ Deep. The marble base is 1 5/8″ thick. This set is very heavy weighing approximately 100 pounds.
The candelabras are 22″ T and in excellent condition with exception of the cherub holding its hands up is loose.
