French Marble & Bronze Mantle Clock. Black marble base with a black marble clock tower and green marble pilasters on the front, bronze trim, roof and wreath crest with hanging scroll, the wood & plaster base is brass covered on the front with lions paw and filigree feet; seated to the right and leaning against the clock tower is a bronze figure of a philosopher with a book rested under his elbow and a basket of scrolls to the far left. 4 in. porcelain time dial signed ÂSarazinÂ, has black Roman hour numerals, fancy pierced hands and brass door bezel with beveled crystal; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂVincenti & CieÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell. Marble has a crack & repair in the base below the clock tower, missing pendulum. 16 in. high x 23 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

French Beaux Arts Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock. The clockworks with enamel face and Roman numerals, inset to marble rocaille, over gilt bronze frieze, over marble base on gilt bronze cylindrical feet; surmounted by gilt bronze figure of Pan as child, over two patinated bronze figures of adult Pan and Syrinx, his companion. Not marked. France. Circa 1890. {Approximate dimensions: 21" H. x 21" W. x 8" D.}. Condition: Circular crack to dial at 8 o'clock. Cracking to white marble base, with some cement fill. Scratches to surface.

Large bronze figure of a woman, Pandora, seated on a plinth with lionÂs head on the side, she wears a loose dress and an open box lays beside her; on a dark brown polished marble base with bronze mounts and feet, unsigned. 5.5 in. black marble dial with gilt incised Roman hour numerals, gilt brass center and brass hands; large round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂS. Marti & CieÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell, in running condition, has key and pendulum, case is in excellent condition, missing rear door. 25.5 in. high x 18 in. wide x 9 in. deep. Weight: 69.75 lbs.

A.D. Mougin French Mantle Clock, Bronze & Marble: the time with bell striking movement is signed AD Mougin and numbered 4541. the dial with Roman numerals and minute indicators is 4″ wide. The white marble base has a bronze lady reclining on top, to her left are gilt metal decorations.
(Running, but the strike is weak and off time. The marble base has some small nicks and chips, plus discoloration. The back left leg is working loose.)
