German LFS Furtwangler Mahogany Bracket Clock, Circa 1910, 7 1/2 x 5″ arched silvered brass & gilt dial, 8-day, brass 1/4 striking movement, beautifully made bracket clock, retailed by J.E. Caldwell & Co. (signed on dial), Art Nouveau influenced bracket clock has clean lines and thick beveled glass in the front door, excellent original condition, with normal wear and nice patina. Height 17 1/2″, Width 9 1/2″, Depth 7″.

Winterhalder & Hofmeier Mahogany Bracket Clock. 5.5 in. silvered dial has black incised Roman hour numerals, engraved filigree design outside and 3 sub dials at the top for beat adjustment, Chime/Silent, Chime on 8 Bells/Chime on 4 Gongs; quality brass spring driven movement has a progressive quarter hour strike either on a nest of 8 bells or progressive Westminster on 5 gongs with a large cathedral gong striking the hour, brass pendulum, in good running condition and signed W. & H. Sch. Mahogany bracket case has an arched top with gilt brass handle, brass feet and brass inlays on the chamfered fluted door corners; quarter hour repeater string on the left side. Case refinished, clock runs and strikes. 13 in. high x 10 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

In a mahogany case with turned finials, gilt spelter mounts with classical maidens and claw feet. Excellent condition and alligatored original finish, running and striking. 23.75 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 8.25 in. deep. Weight: 17 lbs.

L. Furtwangler & Sohn Chime Clock: 8 hammers strike 8 straight rod gongs on the quarter hour. The movement is signed and numbered 158387. The trademark LFS in a geared wheel was registered in 1881. It has a 9 1/2″ gilt metal dial in a mahogany and veneer case. With key.
(There are a few small areas with veneer damage.)

L. Furtwangler & Sohne 2 Weight Oak Tall Case Clock: Gong striking with moon phase and displays of the month, day of month and day of the week. (In this case, between the “II” and “III” “July” is shown.) Above the name, a woman using a rake is shown (probably a suggestion of a useful activity for that time of the year). At the “VI” an Arabic form of number 3 is shown as the day of the month. At the “IX” and the “X” the day of the week is spelled out, in this case, Sondag (Sunday). Above that a boy with a halo and lyre are displayed. The door has a small bronze framed window with a cardinal and basket of flowers.
Not tested.
(The striker is broken.)

French Mahogany Bracket Clock. 5 in. engraved brass dial with black insides Roman hour numerals and minute numbers outside; square brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂS. Marti et CieÂ, has half hour strike on a coiled gong, in running condition, has pendulum. In a mahogany case with spiral turned corner columns, faux bell top with figural Frenchman finial, gilt brass corner finials, mounts and feet. In nice overall condition, repair at the top hinge of the door. 23.75 in. high x 10.5 in. wide x 7 n. deep. Weight: 11 lbs.
