Carter calendar clock with a rosewood case retaining the original finish, original paper dials and hands, unsigned 8-day brass movement, original label on the backboard for "Carter" and another on the calendar crediting "B.B. Lewis," the inventor of the perpetual calendar mechanism, runs 5-10 minutes before stopping, strike functional, calendar movement is sticky and advances the day and month at the same time. 19 in. high x 13 in. wide x 4.75 in. deep.
