Signed Toby 9 Tube Waltham Grandfather Clock. Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Whittington, etched gilt and pierced brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels and moon phase dial at the top, dial signed by the retailer “Toby, Chicago”; brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, 3 brass pulleys, brass covered weights, brass covered pendulum bob with steel stick, movement unsigned, chimes on 8 gongs and strikes the hour on a single gong. In a mahogany floor standing case, leaf carving on the frieze, beveled glass on the front doors, upper side doors and lower side panels and has long standing full length columns on the sides; case is signed on the back with Toby furniture label and has an enhanced original finish, moon phase arch is loose, has one replaced side glass and one replaced tube. 103 in. high x 29 in. wide x 23.5 in. deep.
