A 19th century Jerome & Darrow Column & Splat shelf clock. 30-hr wooden time and strike movement. Mahogany case with stenciled columns and splat, single door with reverse painted lower glass, carved finials and paw feet. Old finish with wear and minor damage, running when cataloged. 30 1/4″ high.

Jerome & Darrow Wood Works Column Clock: 8 day time with bell strike, 10 1/2″ wood dial, good interior label and original glass and mirror. The case is mahogany and veneer with stenciled columns, carved eagle splat and birds eye maple trim. Not tested for working condition; the weight strings are not attached. There are weights.

(No pendulum rod or ball. Cracked upper glass and spotty mirror. There are a couple small areas of veneer repair.)

Jerome & Darrow Carved Column Shelf Clock: 8 day, weight driven wood works with bell strike. There is a partial interior label and a 10″ wood dial. The case is mahogany and veneer; the backboard has cracks and added holes. The upper glass is original. There are weights, pendulum and key with it.

(Not running. The dial is held in with screws and is worn and dirty. The lower glass is held in place with rippled wood strips and may be a replacement. The case has some reglued veneer.)

Painted wood dial has a 10 in. chapter ring with black Arabic hour numbers, floral decorated corners & pierced diamond hands; weight driven wooden works movement with brass covered pendulum bob, count wheel strike mechanism, iron bell at the top of the case & iron weights. In a mahogany case, has broke arch crest, brass finials, reeded flat pillars with acanthus leaf capitols; reverse painted tablet over a mirror, has some inpainting and a crack in the upper left corner. 37 in. high x 16 in. wide.
