3 Pcs. French Industrial Steam Hammer Clock. The large bronze case has gilt brass trimmings with a piston cylinder on top and a lever leading over to a platform on the left side, between the legs of the frame is a silvered anvil and hammer which rocks up and down forming the visible portion of the complex pendulum. Has a round French brass movement signed GLT Paris (Guilmet), also signed Japy Freres and numbered 506; movement has a steel pin pallet escapement and strikes on a steel bell. In very good condition, has bronze operator figure standing on the platform to the left, silvered dial has a nice patina, minor repair to the joint of one of the valves at the top. 18 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6 in. deep. Accompanied by a matching pair of 2 arm candleholders with similar shaped cases simulating a roller press. In good condition, 10.5 in. high. Weight: 28.75 lbs.
