3 Pc. Musical Gothic Gargoyle Figural Clock Set. The clock case has a large winged demonic figure seated on top of a base drum on a stand, holding a mallet in one hand raised overhead and a cymbal strapped to the other, the drum is mounted on a stand formed from branches tied together and winged griffin side mounts; the candlestick side pieces have matching figures leaning beside a lamp post with candle holder top, one plays a mandolin and the other a violin, the figures stand in dramatic poses with fantastic facial expressions, wearing a red cap and red robe cinched at the waist by a belt, they have a dark painted finish with red highlights on white metal. The timepiece is contained within the base drum, has a 3 in. porcelain chapter ring with black Arabic hour numbers, diamond hands and brass bezel with beveled door glass; typical round French brass movement with half hour strike on a steel bell, exposed pendulum bob below resembles a spider web. 19 in. high x 15 in. wide x 8 in. deep.

Animated & Musical Figural Clock w/ Monkey. Unusual painted paper mache and carved wood case with a figure of a monkey seated under a tree, the figure wears French attire and is animated through a spring driven movement contained in the base, he rocks & swivels his head, moves his glass eyes as he plays a violin; flowers, leaves and a bird are in the treetop. To the left is the form of a boulder with contains a 3 in. porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, black hands and brass beaded bezel; typical round French brass spring driven movement signed ÂJapy FreresÂ has an half hour strike on a bell. Also contained in the base is a small cylinder music box which is wound by a string on the left side of the base, the automaton is operated through a separate movement in the base, is wound with a long crank on right side and has an on/off switch. Complete with the glass dome, in good operating condition. A very rare and unusual piece. 21 in. high x 18 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep.

Farcot Miniature French Figural Clock. White marble base has figural gilt brass musical putti on either side of the clock tower, 2 in. porcelain dial has black Arabic hour numbers, pierced gilt hands and signed Farcot, Paris, France; French brass spring driven time only movement has a lever escapement with balance wheel, signed Farcot and numbered 653. Case is in good condition, the clock is not running, the movementÂs main spring does not hold power. 6.5 in. high x 7 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.
