DESCRIPTION: An antique French empire mantel clock with ornate gilt bronze case designed with figural group depicting a battle scene with two knights, one of whom is wounded and the other Pierre Terrail, (Lord of Bayard) defending his fallen comrade, atop a craggily patinated rock form. Case with silver dial marked with black Roman numerals and double blued steel hands. Pendulum movement impressed: "(Star) 515" Displayed in glass blown dome with wood base. Includes clock key.
