19th C. Austrian/Viennese Enamel Rotary Clock

DESCRIPTION: Viennese silver and enamel desk clock. Features a center mounted clock in an ostrich formed case with inset crystal designs, further decorated with a headdress mounted native figure. Finished on an ornate blue enamel inset plinth with polychrome enameled vine engravings. Clock features an automatic movement with Roman Numeral numbering and engraved decoration along the face.

Viennese Silver & Enamel Nautilus Clock

Viennese Silver & Enamel Nautilus Clock. Enamel decorated and gilt engraved silver clock is decorated with classical and mythical Roman figures in a forest scenic surrounding the base and the nautilus-form top; has a figural dolphin stem and finial takes the form of Venus in a clam shell. Mounted on the top of the nautilus is the 1” porcelain dial with brass spring driven time only verge and fusee movement; hallmarked with maker’s initials “I.P.” in an oval and “A” in a box hallmark for Vienna, no visible silver purity marks. Appears in good overall condition, has only light chipping where the stem meets the base of the shell; movement not running. 8.75” high. Weight: 0.75 lbs.

Enamel decorated on gilt silver, figure of man playing a violin and standing on an oval base, has a large oval mount on top with figural putti finials centered with a 1” porcelain dial and spring driven time only movement with cylinder escapement. Figure has repairs to feet, arms and face, case has repair on back side and indents in the sides at the maiden busts, movement not running; no hallmarks visible. 11.25” high. Weight: 1.0 lbs.

Hermann Bohn Viennese Enamel Decorated Silver Clock. Beautiful black enamel on silver case has silver filigree highlights throughout, oval timepiece is mounted on the back of a camel, has 4 round portrait panels around the domical base with seated women, scene of Europa and the Bull on the back and scenic landscape on the interior. 1.75” x 1.5” plique a jour on silver dial has black incised Roman hour numerals and an unsigned 8 day spring driven time only movement with cylinder escapement. Camel is stamped with “HB” hallmark for Hermann Bohn and “A” hallmark for Vienna, no visible silver purity marks; nice overall condition, not running. 7” high. Weight: 0.5 lbs.
