Signed L. Dubois French Empire 4 Columns Portico Calendar Clock. 6 in. silvered and damascened dial has black painted Roman hour numerals with open moon hands, 2 sub dials with French abbreviations for Day & Month and open aperture exposing the date, dore bronze filigree decorated bezel; round brass spring driven movement with deadbeat escapement, count wheel half hour strike mechanism with a steel bell, large quality gridiron pendulum, in good running condition. In a beautiful French empire 4 column case with ebonized lacquered finish, dore bronze trim, capitols and overhanging cornice top. 28.5 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 7.75 in. deep.

19th century French Empire gilt bronze mounted and marquetry inlaid Portico Clock, the case and four columns with floral inlay around the gilt mounted brass face with Roman numerals and two wind holes, shell motif pendulum. [18 1/2" H x 9 1/2" W x 5 1/2" D]. Cracks to dial; stains; losses to veneer; scuffs; wear.

French Empire Inlaid Portico Clock. 4 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and signed J. Valery, a Paris; typical round French brass 8 day spring driven movement with bell strike and gridiron pendulum with filigree decorated gilt bronze bob. The inlaid walnut case has a dark brown finish with serpentine crest, 4 spiral turned columns having gilt bronze capitols & bezel and the base. Dial has some damage at 1 oÂclock and the clockÂs suspension spring is missing. 21 in. high x 10.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Silvered dial w/ black roman numerals and minute markers, open moon hands, round leafy dore bronze bezel; typical round French brass movement with count wheel strike mechanism and silvered bell; movement signed  Fons 1827. Has a quality gridiron pendulum and a fancy dore bronze flower shaped bob; the mahogany case has smooth columns w/ dore bronze capitols and applied mounts; quality French bronze movement. 21.5 in. high x 11.5 in. wide.

Unusual French Empire Cherub Swinger Clock. French Empire brass inlaid & ebonized 4 column portico clock case with gilt brass capitols & bezel; open 4 in. porcelain dial with blued open moon hands and black hour numerals. Brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy Fils & Echappement Brevete (escapement patented), count wheel strike mechanism with brass bell; has a double wheel escapement with half disc pallet rocking back and forth between the escape wheels as the pendulum swings, the figural gilt white metal pendulum, represents a winged putti seated on a swing and rocking back and forth as the clock runs. Case is in good condition, original finish having some touchup and a little pulling to the brass inlays, dial has hairlines, bell is replaced. 17.75 in. high x 9 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
