18th Century Bracket Clock by Johann Kohlhass, Bell St. Wienn. Oak case with parcel gilt trim, gilt metal handle to the top and gilt metal feet, glass windows to the sides and back; the large brass face with chased and incised decoration, the dial with a window to show the pendulum action, Roman numeral markings; the movement with built-in pendulum, single bell, and a small pull-string attached to the movement that comes through the bottom of the case. Round raised plaque to the face reads 'Johann Kohlhaas Wienn'. Vienna, Austria. Circa 1774. {Approximate dimensions: 21 high x 10 3/4 wide x 4 3/4 inches deep.}. Condition: Apparent restoration to the parcel gilt. The front door is separated from one hinge. Handle to the top is loose. Cracks to the wood case near the side window panels. Overall wear is good considering age. It seems to be in working order, consistency is not guaranteed. No winder included.
